Car
If you are driving, head towards Jerusalem from your location in the Judean Desert. Use Route 1 to reach Jerusalem. Once in the city, follow signs to the Old City. Park at one of the nearby parking lots like the 'Karta Parking Lot' near the Old City. After parking, walk to the Jaffa Gate, which is the main entrance to the Old City. From Jaffa Gate, walk straight along the Cardo, which is located just inside the Old City walls.

Public Transportation
To reach Cardo via public transportation, take a bus from your location in the Judean Desert to Jerusalem. Look for buses with 'Jerusalem' as their destination. Once you arrive at the Central Bus Station in Jerusalem, transfer to the Light Rail Station located nearby. Take the Light Rail towards 'Hayarkon' and get off at the 'City Hall' station. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to the Old City. Enter through the Jaffa Gate and walk to the Cardo.

If you are already in the Old City of Jerusalem, you can easily walk to Cardo. From the Jaffa Gate, walk straight down David Street. Take a left at the intersection onto the Via Dolorosa, and then another left onto the Cardo Street, where you will see the archaeological site of Cardo.
