Getting there

Hiking

From Dana Village, start your journey by heading towards the Dana Biosphere Reserve entrance. Follow the marked trails that lead down the mountain towards Wadi Dana. This hike is approximately 6-8 km and will take around 2-3 hours, depending on your pace. Enjoy the stunning views along the way, and keep an eye out for local wildlife.

Public Transport

After reaching the Wadi Dana area, you can find local transportation options such as shared taxis or minibuses that head towards Wadi Musa. Confirm with the driver that they are going to Wadi Musa, as this is the nearest town to Petra. The ride will take around 30-45 minutes.

Walking

Once you arrive in Wadi Musa, you will need to walk to Petra Balloon. Head towards Petra Balloon St, which is well-marked. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from the main bus drop-off point in Wadi Musa. Follow the signs to Petra Balloon, and you will pass by several shops and cafes along the way.
