Getting There

Walking
From the Petra Archaeological Park entrance, walk towards the Visitor Center. After passing the Visitor Center, continue straight along the main path leading into the park. As you walk, you will see the iconic Treasury (Al-Khazneh) on your right. Keep walking past the Treasury, and follow the path that leads to the Street of Facades. After the Street of Facades, you will reach a fork in the path. Take the right path leading down towards the Colonnaded Street. Continue walking until you reach the end of the Colonnaded Street. Look for signs directing you towards Wadi Musa. From there, follow the signs until you reach Petra Balloon St. The Petra Balloon is located on this street, just a short walk from the main park area.

Horse or Donkey Ride
If you prefer not to walk, you can hire a horse or donkey at the Petra Archaeological Park entrance. Inform the handler that you want to go to Petra Balloon St. The ride will take you through the park and provide a unique experience as you travel through the ancient ruins. Once you approach the Colonnaded Street, ask the handler to drop you off at the fork in the path leading towards Wadi Musa. From there, it’s a short walk to Petra Balloon.
