Getting There

Walking
From the main entrance of Petra, head straight down the Siq, the narrow gorge that leads into the ancient city. After approximately 1.2 kilometers, you will reach the Treasury (Al-Khazneh). Take a moment to admire it, then continue walking through the archaeological site towards the Street of Facades, which is on your right. Keep walking until you reach the end of the Street of Facades and the Great Temple. From there, exit the archaeological site through the main gate. Once outside, turn left and walk about 500 meters along the main road until you reach the Petra Museum, located at 8FG9+46R, Wadi Musa.

If you are coming from the Petra Visitor Center, exit the center and head towards the main road. Turn right and walk along the road for about 300 meters. You will see the signs directing you to the Petra archaeological site. Continue straight until you arrive at the entrance of the site. Once inside, follow the same route to the Treasury and then exit the site as described above, walking towards the Petra Museum.
