Walking
If you're in downtown Lawrence, head east on Massachusetts Street until you reach 9th Street. Turn right (south) on 9th Street and continue until you reach New Hampshire Street. Turn left (east) on New Hampshire Street and walk until you reach 6th Street. From there, turn right (south) and continue until you reach the bus stop at 6th and Massachusetts. From here, catch the Lawrence Transit bus route 11 heading towards the Lawrence Public Library. Get off at the stop at 9th and Massachusetts. Walk east on 9th Street until you reach the stop at 9th and Delaware. Transfer to bus route 12, which will take you directly towards your destination.

If you're in Lawrence and have access to a bicycle, start at the Lawrence Public Library on 7th Street and Kentucky Street. Head north on Kentucky Street until you reach 8th Street and turn right (east). Continue to Massachusetts Street and turn left (north). Ride along Massachusetts until you reach the intersection with 6th Street. Turn right (east) on 6th Street and continue until you reach the bus stop at 6th and Massachusetts. You can then catch the Lawrence Transit bus route 11 that will take you towards the historic site.

Public Transport
To get to the Salem Maritime National Historic Site using public transport, start at the Lawrence Transit Center located at 8th and New Hampshire. From there, take bus route 11 towards the Lawrence Public Library. Ride until you reach the bus stop at 9th and Massachusetts. Here, transfer to route 12 and continue on the bus until you reach Derby Street in Salem. The historic site will be a short walk from the bus stop.
