Walking
From the center of Old Town, head west on Douglas Avenue toward the Arkansas River. Continue walking straight until you reach the riverbank. Once you reach the river, turn right (north) and follow the riverwalk path. After a few minutes, you will see The Keeper of the Plains statue in the distance. Cross the pedestrian bridge to reach the statue area directly.
Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services available in Old Town. Start by biking west on Douglas Avenue towards the Arkansas River. Once you reach the river, turn right (north) onto the riverwalk path. Continue along the path for about 0.5 miles until you see The Keeper of the Plains ahead. There are bike racks available near the statue for you to park your bike.
Public Transportation (Bus)
If you would like to take the bus, you can catch the Wichita Transit bus from one of the stops in Old Town. Look for route 21 at the nearest bus stop, and board the bus heading towards 'Central & McLean.' After about 15 minutes, disembark at the stop nearest to 'Veterans Parkway.' From there, it is a short walk (about 10 minutes) north along Veterans Parkway to reach The Keeper of the Plains.
