Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in Old Town, start at the intersection of Douglas Avenue and Market Street. Head west on Douglas Avenue until you reach the intersection with W Maple St. Turn left onto W Maple St. Continue walking for about half a mile; you will see the Historic Chisholm Trail Mulberry Tree Marker on your right side, located between 1211 and 1347 W Maple St. The marker is situated in a small green area, making it easy to spot.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services available in Old Town. Start at the bike station closest to your location and head west on Douglas Avenue. After reaching the intersection with W Maple St, turn left and continue to ride for about half a mile. The Historic Chisholm Trail Mulberry Tree Marker will be on your right side, easily identifiable in the green space. Make sure to check the bike return stations nearby.

  You can take the Wichita Transit bus service to reach the Historic Chisholm Trail Mulberry Tree Marker. Check the bus schedule for routes that service Old Town. A common route is the Central Avenue Line. Board the bus heading west and get off at the stop nearest to the intersection of W Maple St and Central Ave. From there, it's a short walk east on W Maple St for about 5 minutes. The marker will be located on your left side. Note that fares may apply, typically costing around $1.50 per ride.
