Car
If you are driving, start from Almaty city center. Head southeast on Al-Farabi Avenue, then merge onto the Almaty Ring Road (A2). Continue for about 15 km until you see signs for the Medeu District. Take the exit towards Medeu and follow the road towards the mountains. After passing the Medeu ice rink, take a left onto an unnamed road. Keep following this road for about 5 km until you reach the parking area near Tri Bastiona. Make sure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain, as the final stretch might be unpaved.

Public Transportation
You can take a bus from Almaty city center to the Medeu area. Look for bus number 12 or 28, which go towards Medeu. The fare is approximately 100 KZT. Get off at the Medeu stop, and from there, you can either walk or take a taxi (around 2000-3000 KZT) to the unnamed road leading to Tri Bastiona. The walk will take about 30-40 minutes, and you should keep an eye on the signs pointing towards the hiking trails.
