Car
To reach Post #1 in Altyn Emel National Park by car, start from the entrance of the park located at the main road. Follow the road for approximately 50 kilometers, keeping an eye on the park's signposts. As you drive, you will pass through scenic landscapes, including the Singing Dunes and various picturesque spots. Once you reach the coordinates VVJ9+WF6 (latitude: 43.8823, longitude: 77.8686), you will find Post #1. Make sure to have a park map handy, and be aware that a park entrance fee may apply, generally around 1,000 KZT for entry.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a minibus from Almaty to the town of Qapshaghai, which costs around 1,500 KZT. From Qapshaghai, you will need to hire a taxi or find a local shuttle service that can take you to the entrance of Altyn Emel National Park. The taxi fare should be approximately 3,000-5,000 KZT. Once at the park's entrance, you will have to pay the entrance fee (around 1,000 KZT) and then arrange for a local guide or transport to take you to Post #1, as public transport within the park is limited.
Hiking
For the adventurous, if you are already within the park and enjoy hiking, you can trek to Post #1 from nearby campsites or attractions such as the Singing Dunes. The hike can take several hours, so ensure you have enough water and supplies. Start early in the day to avoid the heat and follow marked trails towards the coordinates VVJ9+WF6.
