If you are driving, begin your journey from the Altyn Emel National Park entrance, located at the coordinates 43.2984° N, 77.6475° E. Drive east on the main park road for approximately 50 kilometers (31 miles) towards the village of Chulak. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating the Chulak Gorge. The last segment of your route is a dirt road; ensure your vehicle is suitable for off-road conditions. Follow the road for about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) until you arrive at Chulak Gorge, marked by the coordinates 43.4794° N, 77.9462° E.

Public Transportation
Public transportation options are limited in Altyn Emel National Park. To reach Chulak Gorge, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Almaty to the town of Qalanshyk. This fare typically costs around 1,500 KZT. Upon arrival in Qalanshyk, you will need to arrange for a taxi to take you the remaining 40 kilometers (25 miles) to Chulak Gorge. Taxi fares can vary, but expect to pay approximately 5,000 to 7,000 KZT for this trip. Make sure to agree on the fare beforehand. Note that it's advisable to check the marshrutka schedules in advance as they may not run frequently.
