Getting There

    If you are driving from Bartogay Lake, head south on the main road (A2) towards the city of Kurmeti. Continue for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the abandoned mine (Заброшенная штольня). Turn left onto the smaller road and follow the signs for Kurmeti. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will see a dirt path leading to the site on your right. Park your car safely off the road, as the area may not have designated parking.

  • Public Transportation

    From Bartogay Lake, take a minibus (marshrutka) heading towards Kurmeti. The ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Kurmeti, you will need to take a taxi or arrange for a local driver to reach the abandoned mine. Taxis can usually be found near the bus stop. The taxi ride to the site should cost around 1,000 KZT (approximately $2.50 USD). Confirm the fare before starting the trip. The driver will take you to the dirt path leading to Заброшенная штольня/Пещера.
