Follow the signs to Ile-Alatau National Park. Once you enter the park area, continue on the main road until you reach a fork. Take the left fork towards the 'Kim Asar' trailhead. Park your vehicle at the designated parking area. From there, follow the marked trail signs leading to Kim Asar gorge. The hike typically takes about 1-2 hours depending on your pace.

To reach Kim Asar gorge using public transportation, take a bus or taxi from Almaty city center to the Medeu District. Look for bus number 12 or 2, which will take you to the Medeu area. Once you arrive at the Medeu bus stop, you can either walk towards the park entrance or take a taxi to the park's entrance. After entering the park, follow the signs to the Kim Asar trailhead. There might be a small entrance fee to the park, typically around 500 KZT (Kazakhstani Tenge). Once at the trailhead, proceed on foot to Kim Asar gorge, which will take approximately 1-2 hours.
