Car
If you are driving from Big Almaty Lake, head northwest on the road leading out of the lake area. Continue straight for about 15 kilometers until you reach the junction near the Alma-Arasan valley. Turn left onto the Alma-Arasan road, which is well marked. Follow this road for about 5 kilometers, and you will see the entrance to Alma-Arasan, located at the coordinates 43.101822, 76.943987. Parking is available at the entrance.

Public Transportation
To reach Alma-Arasan from Big Almaty Lake using public transportation, you need to first get to Almaty city center. From the lake, take a taxi or a local bus back to Almaty. Once in Almaty, head to the Sayakhat Bus Station. From there, take a bus heading towards the Bostandyk District. The bus fare is approximately 150 KZT (around $0.35). Inform the driver you are going to Alma-Arasan or ask any local for help. After about 30 minutes, you will disembark at the Alma-Arasan bus stop. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to the entrance of Alma-Arasan, located at 4W2V+PHH, Almaty.

You can easily find taxis near the lake or use a ride-hailing app. The drive will take approximately 20-25 minutes, and the fare should range from 1500 to 3000 KZT (around $3.50 to $7).
