Getting There

    If you're driving from Almaty, take the A2 highway towards Taldykorgan. Drive approximately 150 kilometers until you reach the town of Saty. From Saty, follow the signs to Kolsai Lakes National Park. The road from Saty to the park is a bit bumpy, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. The entrance to Kolsai Lakes is about 20 kilometers from Saty. There may be a small entrance fee to access the park, so be prepared with some cash.

    To reach Kolsai Lakes using public transport, start at the Sayakhat Bus Station in Almaty. Take a bus or minibus (marshrutka) heading to Saty.
