Car
From the main entrance of Kolsai Lakes National Park, head southeast on the A351 road. Continue driving for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the fork in the road. Take the left fork towards the village of Saty, which is well-marked. After about 5 kilometers, you will enter the village. Continue through Saty, following the signs for Ozero Chon-Uryukty. The road will become more rugged after leaving the village. Drive cautiously for about 10 kilometers until you reach a small parking area near the lake. Make sure to have a map or GPS device to help navigate, as the road can be tricky.

Public Transportation
Take a minibus (marshrutka) from Almaty to the village of Saty. The journey usually takes around 4-5 hours, and the fare is approximately 1500 KZT. Upon arrival in Saty, you will need to hire a local taxi to take you to Ozero Chon-Uryukty. The taxi fare may range from 2000 KZT to 4000 KZT depending on negotiation. The taxi ride will take about 30 minutes, and the driver will be familiar with the area, so provide them with the name of the lake to ensure you reach the correct destination.

If you are feeling adventurous and are already in the vicinity of Kolsai Lakes, consider hiking to Ozero Chon-Uryukty. From Kolsai Lake 1, follow the marked trail leading towards the east. It is a moderately difficult hike, approximately 12 kilometers long, which may take around 4-5 hours depending on your fitness level. Be sure to bring sufficient water, snacks, and a map. The hike offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the pristine lake upon arrival.
