Public Transit (Bus)
From Butchertown, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Frankfort Avenue. Board the TARC (Transit Authority of River City) Bus #2 towards 'West Broadway'. This will take you towards downtown Louisville. You will need to travel for about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop at '9th & Broadway'. From there, transfer to Bus #18 towards 'Poplar Level'. Stay on the bus for approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Taylor Ave & Gardiner Ln'. The Louisville Mega Cavern will be a short walk from there.

Bicycle
If you prefer to bicycle, rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services available in Butchertown. Head south on E Washington St toward S Shelby St. Continue on S Shelby St until you reach the intersection with Taylor Ave. Turn left onto Taylor Ave. The Louisville Mega Cavern will be located on your right after approximately 1.5 miles. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic laws.

For those who enjoy walking, start at the center of Butchertown. Head south on E Washington St, then take a right onto S Shelby St. Continue straight for about 1.5 miles until you reach Taylor Ave. Turn left onto Taylor Ave, and you will find the Louisville Mega Cavern a short distance ahead on your right. This walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes.
