Getting There

  • Car Rental

    From the Chyulu Hills area, head southeast on the A109 road towards the town of Mtito Andei. This drive will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you reach Mtito Andei, take the B7 road towards Manyani. Continue for about 30 minutes until you arrive at Tsavo, located at coordinates XFG5+WGW, Manyani. Make sure to rent a vehicle with a good ground clearance, as some roads may be rough.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Tsavo via public transport, first take a matatu (shared minibus) from Chyulu Hills to Mtito Andei. The journey takes about 1 hour and costs around 200-300 KES. Once in Mtito Andei, transfer to another matatu heading to Manyani. This second leg of the journey will take about 30 minutes and cost approximately 100 KES. After arriving in Manyani, you can either walk to Tsavo, which is about a 15-minute walk, or hire a local taxi for around 500 KES.
