Getting There

Car
Starting from Chyulu Hills, head east towards the main road (A23). Once on A23, continue driving south until you reach the junction at Mwatate, which is approximately 30 kilometers. Turn onto Taita Mwatate Road heading west. Follow this road for about 15 kilometers and you will see signs directing you to Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa. The resort is located on the left side of the road.

Public Transportation (Matatu)
From Chyulu Hills, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) to Mwatate. Matatus are commonly found at various pickup points in Chyulu Hills. The journey to Mwatate will cost approximately 200 KES and takes about 30-45 minutes. Once in Mwatate, you can hire a taxi or look for another shared vehicle heading towards Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa. Inform the driver of your destination; the ride should cost around 1000 KES and take about 20-30 minutes.

If you prefer a more direct method, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in Chyulu Hills directly to Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa. This option will be more expensive, with costs ranging from 2000 to 3000 KES depending on your starting point within Chyulu Hills. The taxi will take you directly to the resort via Taita Mwatate Road, which is approximately a 30-minute drive.
