Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Mombasa and head south on the A14 road towards Ukunda. After about 40 kilometers, you will reach the junction at Kombani. Turn right onto the B8 road towards Kwale. Continue for approximately 15 kilometers until you see signs for Shimba Hills National Reserve. Follow the signs, and take Kasemeni Sinango Road, which leads directly to the reserve entrance. Please note that there might be a park entrance fee of around KES 1,000 for adults and KES 500 for children.

Public Transportation
Using public transport, begin by taking a matatu (shared taxi) from Mombasa to Ukunda, which costs about KES 300 and takes roughly an hour. Upon arrival at Ukunda, transfer to another matatu heading to Kwale. Upon reaching Kwale, hire a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you to the Shimba Hills National Reserve entrance. The boda-boda ride should cost around KES 200 to KES 300. Keep in mind that the combined transportation time from Mombasa to Shimba Hills could take around 2 to 3 hours depending on waiting times.
