Getting There

  • Bicycle

Once you have your bicycle, head towards the main road (Kisumu-Nairobi Road). Cycle north until you reach the junction leading to Nyalenda. Take a left turn towards Nyalenda and continue cycling straight. Follow the road signs to Dunga Beach which will be on your right. The ride is approximately 5km and should take about 20-30 minutes depending on your speed.

  • Matatu (Shared Taxi)

    To reach Dunga Beach using public transport, take a matatu heading towards Nyalenda from the Kondele bus station. Look for a matatu that has 'Nyalenda' written on it. The fare is usually around 50-100 KES. Inform the driver to drop you at the Dunga Beach junction. Once you get off, walk down the road towards the lake; Dunga Beach will be approximately a 10-minute walk from the junction.
