Bicycle
If you prefer a more active mode of transport, renting a bicycle in Kondele is a great option. You can rent a bike from local shops around the main market area. Once you have your bicycle, head towards the main road (Kisumu-Nairobi Road). Cycle north until you reach the junction leading to Nyalenda. Take a left turn towards Nyalenda and continue cycling straight. Follow the road signs to Dunga Beach which will be on your right. The ride is approximately 5km and should take about 20-30 minutes depending on your speed.

Matatu (Shared Taxi)
To reach Dunga Beach using public transport, take a matatu heading towards Nyalenda from the Kondele bus station. Look for a matatu that has 'Nyalenda' written on it. The fare is usually around 50-100 KES. Inform the driver to drop you at the Dunga Beach junction. Once you get off, walk down the road towards the lake; Dunga Beach will be approximately a 10-minute walk from the junction.

If you prefer walking and are relatively close to Dunga Beach, you can navigate directly on foot. Start from the center of Kondele and head towards the main road (Kisumu-Nairobi Road). Once you reach the road, look for signs directing to Nyalenda. Walk along the road until you see signs for Dunga Beach, which is about 4-5km from the center of Kondele. It may take around 1 hour to walk, so ensure you wear comfortable shoes.

A convenient and quicker way to reach Dunga Beach is by taking a boda boda. You can find boda boda riders near the main market in Kondele. Negotiate a fare before starting; it typically costs around 100-200 KES depending on your negotiation skills. Ask the rider to take you directly to Dunga Beach. The ride will take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
