If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Lake Bogoria. Head east on the main road towards Lorwok. Continue straight for about 5 kilometers. Look for a sign indicating Kutwee Papyrus Reeds Swamp. As you approach the coordinates 928W+54, you will start seeing the papyrus reeds on your right. There is a small parking area near the entrance.
Public Transportation
To use public transportation, find a local matatu (shared taxi) heading towards Lorwok. These matatus leave from designated stops in Lake Bogoria. The fare is approximately 100 KES per person. Inform the driver you want to get off at the stop for Kutwee Papyrus Reeds Swamp. Once you arrive, you may have to walk about 1 kilometer towards the swamp as matatus do not go all the way to the site. Follow the dirt path leading to the coordinates 928W+54.
Walking
If you are already near the swamp, you can walk from the nearest accommodation or visitor center. Simply head east towards Lorwok, and follow the signs or locals' directions to Kutwee Papyrus Reeds Swamp. The walk is approximately 1-2 kilometers depending on your starting point, and it will take about 20-30 minutes.
