After approximately 50 km, look for signs indicating the turnoff to the Ruma National Park. Follow the signs for about 15 km until you reach the park entrance. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition as some roads may be rough.

For those using public transportation, catch a matatu (shared taxi) or bus from your location around Lake Victoria to Homa Bay. Once in Homa Bay, you can find another matatu or bus heading towards Kisumu. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Ruma National Park. The park entrance is about 15 km from the main road, so you may need to negotiate with the driver to drop you off at the entrance or arrange for a local taxi for that last part. Expect to pay around KSh 100-200 for the matatu fare to Homa Bay and a similar amount for the final leg to the park.
