Car
If you are arriving by car, make your way to Kisumu city center. From the city center, head east on Oginga Odinga Road. Continue for approximately 2.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Harambee Road. Turn left onto Harambee Road. The KWS-Kisumu Impala Sanctuary will be on your right after about 1 kilometer, near Shauri Moyo Primary School. There is parking available at the sanctuary.

Public Transportation (Matatus)
To reach the KWS-Kisumu Impala Sanctuary using public transportation, head to the Matatu stage in Kisumu city center. Look for matatus heading towards the Kisumu East area. Inform the driver you want to disembark at Harambee Road. The journey will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you reach your stop, walk about 500 meters east along Harambee Road, and the sanctuary will be on your left, next to Shauri Moyo Primary School.

For those who prefer a more active option, renting a bicycle in Kisumu is a great way to reach the KWS-Kisumu Impala Sanctuary. From the city center, cycle east on Oginga Odinga Road for about 2.5 kilometers. Turn left onto Harambee Road and continue for about 1 kilometer until you see the sanctuary on your right. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules. Bicycle rentals typically cost around 500-1000 KES per day.
