Start from Malindi town center, at the Malindi Marine National Park entrance. Head east toward the coast, following the signs for the beach. Walk along the beach until you reach the end of the sandy area. From there, look for the river mouth where River Sabaki meets the ocean. The estuary is approximately a 30-minute walk from the park entrance.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the shops in Malindi town. Start at the Malindi Marine National Park entrance and cycle east along the coastal road. Continue straight until you reach the junction that leads to the beach. Follow the signs toward the beach and ride along the sandy path. The River Sabaki Estuary is located at the end of the beach, approximately a 20-minute bicycle ride from the park entrance.
Public Transport (Boda Boda)
Find a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) stand in Malindi town. Inform the driver that you want to go to River Sabaki Estuary. The driver will take you directly to the location. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic, and you will be dropped off near the estuary entrance.
