Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Mombasa City Centre, head south towards Moi Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout at the end of Moi Avenue. From the roundabout, take the second exit onto Nkrumah Road. Walk along Nkrumah Road until you reach the ferry terminal. Cross the ferry to the south side of Mombasa Island. Once you disembark, head straight onto Mama Ngina Drive. The Lighthouse Mosque is located at WMCC+J4H, The Park Before Florida Club, which is a short walk along Mama Ngina Drive. Keep an eye out for the Florida Club on your left; the mosque is just before it.

  • Public Transport (Matatu)

    From Mombasa City Centre, walk to the nearest matatu stage located near the Uhuru Garden. Board a matatu heading towards Likoni. Inform the conductor you want to get off at the ferry terminal. After crossing the ferry, walk straight along Mama Ngina Drive. You will see the Lighthouse Mosque at WMCC+J4H, just before the Florida Club on your left. It's about a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal.

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle in Mombasa City Centre and head towards Moi Avenue. Continue to Nkrumah Road and make your way to the ferry terminal.
