After approximately 20 kilometers, you will reach the entrance to Mount Kenya Forest. Ensure you have cash available for the entrance fee, which is about 300 KES for locals and 600 KES for non-residents.

    To reach Mount Kenya Forest using public transport, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) from Nyeri or Nanyuki to the nearest town, which is Nanyuki. Once in Nanyuki, you can either walk to the entrance of the forest or take a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) for a small fee, usually around 100-200 KES. Ensure to negotiate the fare before starting your ride. The entrance fee remains the same as mentioned above.
