    If you are traveling by car, head towards the Chogoria Gate of Mount Kenya National Park. From Nanyuki, take the Nanyuki-Chogoria road (C92) for approximately 45 kilometers. After reaching Chogoria town, continue on the road towards the park entrance. The road is well-marked, and you will see signs indicating the direction to the Chogoria Roadhead Campsite. Once you reach the park gate, you will need to pay the entrance fee, which is about KES 1,500 for non-residents and KES 600 for residents. From the gate, follow the dirt road for about 10 kilometers until you arrive at the Chogoria Roadhead Campsite. Ensure you have a 4x4 vehicle as the road can be rough in some sections.

    Public Transportation

    To reach Chogoria Roadhead Campsite using public transportation, first take a matatu (public minibus) from Nanyuki to Chogoria town. The fare is approximately KES 200-300. Once you arrive in Chogoria, you can either hire a local taxi or find a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you to the Chogoria Gate of Mount Kenya National Park. The taxi fare to the park gate should be around KES 500-800.
