Continue for about 17 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Ol Pejeta Conservancy entrance road on your left. Follow the signs for Ol Pejeta and drive for an additional 5 kilometers. You will arrive at the Rongai Gate entrance, which is well-marked. There may be a small entrance fee for vehicles and visitors, so be prepared to pay at the gate.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Nanyuki town to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Matatus leave from the main bus stage in Nanyuki and cost approximately 200 KES per person. Inform the driver you want to go to Ol Pejeta. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the conservancy entrance, you will need to pay the entrance fee, which is around 1,500 KES for non-residents. From the entrance, you can arrange for a vehicle or guided tour to take you to the Rongai Gate.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route or are traveling with a group, you can hire a taxi from Nanyuki. The fare to Ol Pejeta Conservancy typically ranges from 2,000 to 3,000 KES depending on negotiation and vehicle type. Ensure the driver is familiar with the area and can take you directly to the Rongai Gate. Confirm the return fare beforehand, as taxis may not be readily available in the area.
