    If you are travelling by car, start from the main entrance of Mount Kenya National Park at Nanyuki. Drive towards the park entrance and pay the entrance fee (approximately $20 for non-residents). Follow the road that leads into the park. After about 15 km, you will reach the Chogoria Gate, which is another entry point. Continue on the main road, which turns into a rougher track, until you reach the Shiptons campsite turnoff. Follow the signs leading to Shiptons campsite, which is about 8 km from this turnoff. Note that a 4x4 vehicle is recommended due to rough terrain.
