Getting There

• Walking from Nairobi CBD

  Start at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) in Nairobi CBD. From there, walk towards Uhuru Highway and take a left onto the highway. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout at the Nyayo Stadium. Take the first exit onto Kenyatta Avenue and walk until you reach the junction with Haile Selassie Avenue. From there, proceed onto Westlands Road. You can take a matatu (shared taxi) to Westlands by catching one from the roadside heading towards Westlands. Alight at the Westlands bus stop, and from there, it is a short walk to Woodvale Grove where Westlands Market is located.

• Using Public Transport (Matatu)

  From Nairobi CBD, head to the nearest matatu stage, such as the one near the Kencom Bus Station. Look for matatus heading towards Westlands. Matatus to Westlands are usually labeled with 'Westlands' on the windshield. Board the matatu and pay the fare (typically around Ksh 50). The journey will take about 15-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Alight at the Westlands bus stop, then walk towards Woodvale Grove, the location of Westlands Market.

• Biking

  If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing services available in Nairobi. Start from the Nairobi CBD and head towards Westlands. Follow the same route as pedestrians by cycling along Uhuru Highway, then onto Kenyatta Avenue, and finally onto Westlands Road. The cycling distance is about 5 km, and it should take around 20-30 minutes depending on your speed and traffic conditions. Park your bike at designated bike racks near Westlands Market on Woodvale Grove.
