Getting There

Walking
Start your journey at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC). From the KICC, head towards Uhuru Park, and exit the park onto Uhuru Highway. Continue walking along Uhuru Highway for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Kenyatta Avenue. Walk straight until you reach a major intersection with Kimathi Street. Cross the intersection and continue onto Kimathi Street. After about 500 meters, you will reach the junction with Limuru Road. Turn left onto Limuru Road and walk for about 1.5 kilometers. You will see the entrance to Karura Forest House on your right.

Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental services near the Nairobi National Museum. From the museum, cycle towards Kijabe Street and then turn right onto Kenyatta Avenue. Cycle straight until you reach the roundabout, then take the second exit onto Limuru Road. Continue cycling for about 2 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Karura Forest House on your right.

Public Transport (Matatu)
From the city center, head to the Ngara Matatu stage. Take a matatu heading towards Limuru or Muthaiga. Inform the conductor you are heading to Karura Forest House. The journey will take about 30 minutes, and you will be dropped near the entrance of Karura Forest House. Ensure to keep an eye on landmarks, as you can ask the driver to alert you when you approach your destination.
