Walking
If you are in Nakuru town, start by heading towards Kenyatta Avenue. Walk straight down Kenyatta Avenue until you reach the roundabout. From the roundabout, take the exit onto Moi Road and continue walking. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will see a sign for Hyrax Hill Museum on your left. Follow the signs and take the footpath leading up the hill to reach the museum.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle in Nakuru town and head towards Kenyatta Avenue. Cycle straight down Kenyatta Avenue until you arrive at the roundabout. Take the exit onto Moi Road and continue cycling for about 1 kilometer. Look for the sign for Hyrax Hill Museum on your left and turn onto the footpath that leads up the hill to the museum.
Public Transport (Matatu)
From Nakuru town, find a matatu (shared taxi) that is heading towards the Nakuru East area. Inform the driver you want to go to Hyrax Hill Museum. Once you arrive at the closest drop-off point, walk towards the direction of the museum, following the road signs. The museum is located just a short walk up the hill from where the matatu drops you off.
