If you are driving to Dunga Beach, start from Kisumu city center. Head southwest on Oginga Odinga Road, continue onto Ring Road. After approximately 5 kilometers, look for signs indicating Dunga Beach. You will find a turning off Ring Road leading directly to the beach area. There is ample parking available near the beach, though you might need to pay a small fee for parking.
Public Transportation (Matatu)
From Kisumu city center, you can take a matatu (shared minibus) heading to Nyalenda. Look for matatus at the main bus stage near the city market. Inform the driver or conductor that you want to go to Dunga Beach. The fare is usually around 50-100 KES. The matatu will drop you off at a nearby junction, from where you may need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach the beach. Just follow the signs or ask locals for directions.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Kisumu city. Head out of the city onto Ring Road and follow the same route as if you were driving. The journey is about 5 kilometers and provides a good opportunity to enjoy the scenery along the way. Ensure to wear a helmet for safety.

If you are staying close to Dunga Beach, you can walk there from the surrounding neighborhoods. Make your way towards Ring Road and follow the signs to Dunga Beach. It’s about a 30-minute walk from Nyalenda to the beach area. Ensure to carry water and wear comfortable shoes.
