If you are traveling by car, start from Kisumu city. Head southwest on the A1 road towards Homa Bay. After approximately 30 kilometers, take a left turn onto the B2 road towards Kendu Bay. Continue on the B2 road for about 20 kilometers until you reach Kendu Bay. From Kendu Bay town, follow the signs towards Lake Simbi Nyaima, which is just a short drive (approximately 5 kilometers) from the town center.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) from Kisumu to Kendu Bay. These matatus usually leave from the Kisumu bus station and the fare is around 100 KES. Once you arrive at Kendu Bay, you can either walk to Lake Simbi Nyaima, which is about 5 kilometers away, or hire a local boda boda (motorbike taxi) for around 50-100 KES to take you to the lake directly.

If you are already in Kendu Bay and prefer a quicker option, you can hire a boda boda to take you to Lake Simbi Nyaima. The ride should cost around 50-100 KES, depending on your negotiation skills. Ensure you agree on the fare before starting your ride.

For the more adventurous, you can choose to walk from Kendu Bay to Lake Simbi Nyaima. The 5-kilometer walk will take you through local villages and scenic views, providing a glimpse into the local culture.
