Car
If you are driving from Kisumu city center, head east on Kenyatta Avenue and continue onto the Kisumu-Kakamega Road. Follow the road for approximately 7 kilometers until you reach a roundabout. Take the second exit onto the Kisumu-Nairobi Road. After about 2 kilometers, take a left turn onto the road leading to Nyalenda. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer, and you will find Tich Kouma located at VPGX+MJ4, Kisumu.
Public Transportation
To reach Tich Kouma using public transport, start at Kisumu city center and head to the main bus station. Look for matatus (shared minivans) heading towards Nyalenda. Once on the matatu, inform the conductor that you are going to Tich Kouma. The fare is typically around 50 KES. After the matatu drops you off in Nyalenda, walk approximately 1 kilometer to the location at VPGX+MJ4, Kisumu.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from Kisumu city center. Head east towards the Kisumu-Kakamega Road, then follow the same route as the car directions. It is approximately a 10-kilometer ride, so ensure you have adequate water and snacks for the journey.
Walking
If you are already in the Nyalenda area, you can walk to Tich Kouma. From any point in Nyalenda, ask locals for directions to VPGX+MJ4, Kisumu. It should not take more than 20-30 minutes on foot, depending on your starting point. Ensure to walk during daylight for safety.
