Car
From Shaba National Reserve, head southwest towards the main road (A2). Follow the signs directing you to Isiolo. The distance is approximately 15 kilometers. Once you reach the A2, turn left and continue for about 35 kilometers. You will see the entrance to Buffalo Springs National Reserve on your left. Make sure to pay the entrance fee, which is approximately KES 1,000 for adults.

To reach Buffalo Springs National Reserve from Shaba National Reserve, first find a matatu (shared taxi) heading to Isiolo from the nearest town. The distance to Isiolo is about 35 kilometers. Once in Isiolo, look for matatus or taxis that go to Buffalo Springs National Reserve. They are usually available at the main bus station. The total cost should be around KES 300 to KES 500, including the entrance fee of approximately KES 1,000 for adults at Buffalo Springs.
