Car
From Tsavo National Park, head out towards the main highway (A109). Depending on where you are in the park, the exit to the highway may vary, but generally, follow the signs to the main entrance/exit of the park. Once you reach the A109 highway, turn south toward Mombasa. Continue on the A109 for approximately 50 kilometers until you reach the junction for the B8 road towards Kwale. Take the B8 road and follow it for about 30 kilometers. Look for the signs directing you to Shimba Hills National Reserve. Turn onto Kasemeni Sinango Road and continue for about 15 kilometers until you arrive at the reserve entrance. Be sure to check for any park entry fees, which are usually around $20 per person.

First, make your way to the nearest bus station in Tsavo National Park area. You can catch a bus heading to Mombasa from any central bus stop. The journey to Mombasa will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Mombasa, you will need to transfer to another bus or matatu (shared minibus) that goes to Kwale. This ride will take approximately 1 hour. After arriving in Kwale, you can hire a taxi or look for local matatus heading towards Shimba Hills National Reserve. The last leg of the journey on Kasemeni Sinango Road will take about 30 minutes.
