Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major town in the Turkana Basin, such as Lodwar. From Lodwar, take the A1 road heading south towards Kitale. After approximately 200 km, you will reach Kitale. From Kitale, take the B3 road towards Eldoret and continue until you reach the junction for Ngong Hills. Follow the signs towards Ngong, which is about 25 km from the junction. Once you reach Ngong town, follow the signs to the Ngong Hills park entrance. You may need to pay a small entrance fee, usually around 200 KES for locals and 600 KES for non-residents. From the entrance, drive up the winding road to the 6th Hill parking area. The last section involves a short hike to the hilltop.

To reach Ngong Hills using public transportation, start from Lodwar and take a bus or matatu heading to Nairobi. The journey will take approximately 10-12 hours. Once in Nairobi, head to the Nairobi Railway Station or Kencom bus station and take a matatu to Ngong. The fare is about 100 KES. The matatu will drop you off at the Ngong town center. From there, you can either walk (approximately 7 km) or hire a local taxi to take you to the Ngong Hills park entrance, where you will have to pay an entrance fee (200 KES for locals and 600 KES for non-residents). After entering the park, you can drive or hike to the 6th Hill.
