If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Thakhek. Head southeast on Route 12 until you reach the intersection with Route 13. Turn left onto Route 13 and continue for approximately 5 kilometers. Look for the signs directing you to the Sunset Viewpoint. After turning onto the Unnamed Road (9RV3+2FH), follow the road for about 2 kilometers until you reach the viewpoint. Parking is available near the site, and the area is well-marked.

For those using public transportation, take a local bus or tuk-tuk from Thakhek to the base of Route 13. Buses leave frequently from the main bus station in Thakhek. Once you arrive at the Route 13 junction, you can hire a tuk-tuk for the remaining distance to Sunset Viewpoint. The tuk-tuk ride will cost around 30,000 to 50,000 LAK, depending on your negotiation skills. Inform the driver that you want to go to the Sunset Viewpoint located at 9RV3+2FH. After arriving, you may need to walk a short distance to the viewpoint itself.
