Getting There

Start from the center of Pakse, near the Champasak Palace Hotel. Head north on Route 13 for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Route 16. Turn right onto Route 16 and continue walking for approximately 2 kilometers. You will pass a few local shops and restaurants along the way. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Muang Champassak. After 2 kilometers, you will see the entry point for Rice Field Trail marked by a small sign on your left.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Pakse. Start your journey from the city center and ride north along Route 13 for about 1 kilometer. At the intersection with Route 16, turn right and continue cycling for about 2 kilometers. You will pass various local establishments, so feel free to stop for refreshments. Look for a sign on your left indicating the entrance to Rice Field Trail. The trail entrance is just off Route 16.

Find a tuk-tuk at one of the main streets in Pakse. Inform the driver that you want to go to Rice Field Trail near Muang Champassak. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will take you along Route 13 and then Route 16. Ask the driver to drop you off at the sign for Rice Field Trail, which will be on your left side as you approach Muang Champassak.
