Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Pakse, head south on Route 13 (the main road). Walk for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with Route 16. At this junction, turn left onto Route 16 and continue walking for another 2 kilometers. You should see signs for 'Champassak' as you approach. Keep walking straight for approximately 3 kilometers, and soon you will see the Buddha footprint on your right, located at RRX7+RG, Muang Champassak.

  • Bicycle

    Start at the Pakse Market and rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Cycle south on Route 13 for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Route 16 junction. Turn left onto Route 16 and continue cycling for about 2 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to 'Champassak.' After approximately 3 kilometers, the Buddha footprint will be visible on your right-hand side. The entire journey is about 6 kilometers, and it should take around 30 minutes at a leisurely pace.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    Find a tuk-tuk in the main tourist area of Pakse, such as near the Mekong River. Negotiate the fare to the Buddha footprint, which is located in Muang Champassak. The driver will take you south on Route 13, then to Route 16. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to mention 'Buddha footprint' to the driver, and they will know the location.
