Car
From Phakse, head north on Route 13 for approximately 20 kilometers. Continue on Route 13 until you reach the junction with Route 16. Turn left onto Route 16 and drive for about 10 kilometers. Look for signs pointing to Tad Hang Waterfall; you will turn onto an unnamed road (G7JC+WQC) leading directly to the waterfall. The journey should take around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic conditions. Parking is available near the waterfall entrance.
Public Transportation
From the main bus station in Phakse, you can take a local bus or a shared minivan heading towards Beng. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to Tad Hang Waterfall. This journey may take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Once you arrive at Beng, you may need to hire a tuk-tuk or a motorbike taxi to reach the waterfall, which is about 5 kilometers away. The tuk-tuk ride should cost around 20,000 to 30,000 LAK.
Motorbike Rental
For the more adventurous travelers, renting a motorbike in Phakse is a great option. You can find rental shops around the city. After renting, head north on Route 13 for 20 kilometers, then make a left onto Route 16. Continue for another 10 kilometers until you see signs for Tad Hang Waterfall. This is a scenic ride and will take around 30 minutes. Ensure you have a valid motorbike license and wear a helmet. Rental costs range from 50,000 to 100,000 LAK per day.
