Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car from Vang Vieng town center, head northwest on Route 13. After approximately 3.5 kilometers, look for signs directing you to Blue Lagoon 3. Turn left onto the gravel road (Ban Naxay) and follow it for about 1 kilometer until you reach the entrance to Blue Lagoon 3. There is a small parking area available. Note that there may be an entrance fee of around 10,000 LAK per person.

• Tuk-Tuk

  For those preferring a tuk-tuk, you can easily hire one from any location within Vang Vieng. Negotiate a fare (typically around 30,000 to 50,000 LAK) to Blue Lagoon 3. The driver will navigate the route for you. Make sure to confirm the price before starting your journey. It takes about 15-20 minutes to reach the lagoon.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous, renting a bicycle is a great way to reach Blue Lagoon 3. Rentals are available in Vang Vieng for about 10,000 to 20,000 LAK per day. Cycle northwest along Route 13 for approximately 3.5 kilometers, then turn left onto Ban Naxay road and continue for about 1 kilometer. Be prepared for some uphill riding, so wear comfortable clothing and bring water.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk, it is possible but will take longer. Start from the town center and walk along Route 13 heading northwest for about 3.5 kilometers. After reaching the junction, turn left onto the gravel road leading to Blue Lagoon 3, and walk for an additional kilometer. This option is not recommended during the hottest parts of the day, as it can be quite tiring.

• Public Transportation

  While there is no direct public bus service to Blue Lagoon 3, you can take a bus to the outskirts of Vang Vieng and then hire a tuk-tuk for the remaining distance. The bus fare is typically around 10,000 LAK, and the tuk-tuk ride will be about 30,000 to 50,000 LAK.
