Walking
From Vang Vieng town center, Tham Jang Cave is a leisurely 20-minute walk south. Follow the road along the Nam Song River. Pass Jam Mee Guesthouse and continue until you reach the gate of Vang Vieng Resort. Cross the bridge, for which there may be a small toll of 2,000 LAK. After crossing the bridge, follow the steps up to the cave entrance. Entrance to the area around Tham Chang Cave costs 5,000 Lao Kip, and then a further 15,000 Lao Kip to enter the cave itself.

Tuk-tuk
Hire a tuk-tuk from Vang Vieng town center. Negotiate the fare with the driver before starting your journey. A typical tuk-tuk ride should cost between 10,000 to 15,000 Kip per person. The tuk-tuk will drop you off near the entrance of Vang Vieng Resort. Pay the entrance fee at the gate of Vang Vieng Resort and cross the bridge over the Nam Xong to the steps leading up the cliff to Tham Chang. Entrance to the area around Tham Chang Cave costs 5,000 Lao Kip, and then a further 15,000 Lao Kip to enter the cave itself.
