Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Vientiane City, start by taking Route 13 North. Continue on this road for approximately 160 kilometers until you reach the town of Vang Vieng. As you approach Vang Vieng, look for signs directing you to Ban Naxay. Turn right onto the road leading into Ban Naxay. Keep following the signs to Blue Lagoon 3, which is located a short distance from the center of the village. Parking is often available near the entrance of the lagoon.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach Blue Lagoon 3 via public transportation, head to the Northern Bus Station in Vientiane. Take a bus heading to Vang Vieng, which departs regularly throughout the day. The journey takes around 4 hours and costs approximately 50,000 to 60,000 LAK. Once you arrive at the Vang Vieng bus station, you can either hire a tuk-tuk or rent a bicycle to get to Ban Naxay. The tuk-tuk ride should cost around 30,000 LAK per person and will take about 15 minutes. Ask the driver to take you to Blue Lagoon 3.

• Tuk-Tuk

  If you find yourself in Vang Vieng and want a more flexible option, you can hire a tuk-tuk directly from the town to Blue Lagoon 3. Negotiate the fare before you set off; it usually costs around 60,000 to 100,000 LAK depending on how many people are sharing the ride. The trip will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Ensure you tell the driver you want to go to Blue Lagoon 3, located in Ban Naxay.

• Bicycle Rental

  For those looking for a more adventurous way to reach Blue Lagoon 3, renting a bicycle in Vang Vieng is a great option. Bicycle rentals are available at various shops in town for about 20,000 to 30,000 LAK per day. From the center of Vang Vieng, follow the signs towards Ban Naxay, which is about 7 kilometers away. The ride will take about 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way!
