If you are in the center of Vientiane, start at the Patuxai monument. From there, head northeast along Lane Xang Avenue towards the Mekong River. After about 1 km, turn right onto Th Setthathirath Road. Continue on this road for approximately 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Th Khoun Boulom. Turn left onto Th Khoun Boulom and walk straight for about 300 meters. You will see the Ho Phrakeo Museum on your left at the address XJ66+MJC.

Find a tuk-tuk stand in the city center, such as near the Morning Market (Talat Sao). Tell the driver you want to go to Ho Phrakeo Museum. The ride should take approximately 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure you agree on the fare before you set off.

Look for bus number 14, which travels from the city center to the area near Ho Phrakeo Museum. Board the bus at any major bus stop. Once you reach the stop closest to the museum, disembark and walk about 200 meters back along Th Khoun Boulom, and you will find the museum on your left.
