If you are traveling by rented car, head towards the Nam Xay Viewpoint located at W9FP+CQQ, Naka. From the center of Phonsavan, take Route 7 heading south for approximately 20 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to the viewpoint. The last stretch involves driving on a dirt road for about 5 kilometers, which may be bumpy, so be cautious. There is no parking fee at the viewpoint.

To reach Nam Xay Viewpoint using public transportation, take a local bus from Phonsavan to Naka. Buses leave frequently from the main bus station and the fare is around 10,000 LAK (about 1 USD). Upon arriving in Naka, you can hire a tuk-tuk or a motorbike taxi to take you directly to the viewpoint for about 20,000 LAK. Ensure you negotiate the fare beforehand.

Tuk-Tuk
If you're already in Naka, you can hire a tuk-tuk directly to Nam Xay Viewpoint. The ride will cost approximately 30,000 to 50,000 LAK (3 to 5 USD) depending on your negotiation skills. The journey will take about 15-20 minutes. Ensure that the tuk-tuk driver knows your destination as it might not be commonly known.

Motorbike Rental
For the more adventurous, renting a motorbike in Phonsavan is a great way to reach Nam Xay Viewpoint. Rental costs about 80,000 LAK per day (around 8 USD). Follow Route 7 south and then turn onto the dirt road leading to the viewpoint. Be prepared for off-road riding and wear appropriate safety gear. Make sure to refuel before you leave Phonsavan, as fuel stations are limited.
