Walking
From the Naujene parish center, the Dinaburg Castle ruins are easily accessible by foot. Follow the local road towards Vecpils, keeping an eye out for signs directing you to 'Dinaburgas pilsdrupas'. The walk is approximately 2 kilometers and should take around 30 minutes, offering scenic views of the surrounding landscape. No costs are associated with walking.
Public Transport
From Daugavpils, take a bus towards Naujene. The bus ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes. From the Naujene bus stop, you can either walk or take a taxi to Vecpils. A taxi from Naujene to Vecpils will cost approximately 5-10 EUR. The bus ticket from Daugavpils to Naujene is approximately 1-2 EUR.
Car
If driving from Daugavpils, take the A13 road east. Turn onto the P56 road towards Naujene. Drive approximately 8 km until you reach Vecpils. Follow the signs to Dinaburgas pilsdrupas. Parking is available near the site. Parking is free. There are no tolls.
