Perched high above the Gauja River valley, the Emperor's Chair (Ķeizarkrēsls) is a renowned viewpoint in Sigulda, Latvia. It acquired its name following a visit by Russian Tsar Alexander II in 1862, who was captivated by the scenery. Since then, it has drawn tourists seeking to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the Gauja River valley. The site offers stunning panoramic views of the Gauja River and the surrounding lush forests. Turaida Castle can also be seen from the vantage point.
