Getting There

  • Car

    From Cedars of God, start by heading southeast towards the main road (Route 5). Continue on Route 5 for approximately 18 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Ain Zhalta. Once you reach Ain Zhalta, follow the signs to Shouf Cedars. You will need to park at the designated parking area near the entrance of the nature preserve. There may be a small parking fee, typically around 2,000 LBP, but this can vary.

  • Public Transportation

    From Cedars of God, take a shared taxi (service) heading to Baabda or Beiruting. Ask the driver to drop you off at Ain Zhalta. The fare typically ranges from 10,000 to 15,000 LBP. Once you arrive in Ain Zhalta, you can either walk (approximately 2 km) to Shouf Cedars or take a local taxi to the entrance, which should cost around 5,000 LBP.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk from Ain Zhalta to Shouf Cedars, exit the taxi and head southwest along the main road. Follow the signs for Shouf Cedars, which will guide you through the beautiful scenery. The walk is approximately 2 kilometers and may take around 30-40 minutes. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
